Mr. Alejandro Rivera-Ortiz, 83, of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010.  He is survived by his wife, Ana Luz Diaz.  Alejandro was born in Loiza, Puerto Rico on February 27, 1927, the son of the late Ramon and Florentina (Ortiz) De la Rosa.  Alejandro served in the United States Army.  He was a mechanic  for Metropolitan Transportation Authority of San Juan, Puerto Rico. In addition to his wife, Alejandro is survived by a daughter, Ivette (Arturo) Rivera of Carolina, Puerto Rico; two sons, Alexander (Maria) Rivera of Kissimmee, Florida, and  Joel (Claris) Rivera of Kissimmee, Florida; two sisters, Marcela Rivera of Canovanas, Puerto Rico and Rosa Rivera of Canovanas, Puerto, Rico; and three brothers, Thomas Rivera of Canovanas, Puerto Rico, Marcial Rivera of Canovanas, Puerto Rico;  and Salustiano Rivera of Kissimmee, Florida.  The family will receive friends 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Funeraria Y Crematorio Porta Coeli.  Religious services will be held at Porta Coeli Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 12, 2010, with Rev. Jose I.
